About BenefitSearch
BenefitSearch helps people find benefits, tax breaks, discounts and free services they may qualify for, and shows how to apply on the official site.
We are not a government agency. BenefitSearch is an independent website published by Saguaro Media. We don't run any of the programs listed, and we can't approve or deny anyone. Every program links to its official source, where you apply directly and for free.
Why we built it
Help with health care, food, housing, utilities, taxes and veterans' benefits is spread across hundreds of federal, state, county, utility and nonprofit websites. Many people miss programs simply because nobody told them where to look. This site gathers them in one place and explains them in plain English.
What we cover
- Federal programs available in every state.
- State programs for all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, from Medicaid, SNAP and energy help to state tax credits, college grants and unclaimed money.
- Local programs for many large cities and counties, like bus fare discounts, housing authorities and senior services, with full county coverage for Arizona.
How we keep it current
We describe each program in general terms and link to the official page for current income limits, amounts and deadlines, because those change often. We check links regularly. Always confirm the details on the official page before you apply.
How the site is paid for
The site is free to use and always will be. In the future we may show clearly labeled ads or sponsor messages. Sponsors never decide which programs appear or how they're ranked, and we will never charge anyone to see programs or to apply.
